Institut renesance kulturního dědictví z. ú. se zaměřuje na šíření a rozvoj tradic a
kulturně
historických témat
coby součásti všeobecného kulturního dědictví, čímž se snaží zabránit úpadku těchto tradic v
důsledku
zrychleného životního stylu moderní společnosti, která stále více závisí na technologiích a
krátkodobých, a
tudíž nedostatečně rozvinutých společenských vztazích.
Institut vychází z toho, že starobylé tradice jsou nositelky a reprezentantky hodnot natolik zásadních, že stály našim předkům za to, aby si je mezi sebou celá staletí předávali, a proto jsou tradice ze své podstaty součástí identity každé společnosti, kterou spoluutvářejí a sjednocují, a zároveň jsou závislé na interpretaci, a tudíž bez skutečného zájmu společnosti se rychle vytrácejí z její kolektivní paměti. Institut hledá takové efektivní způsoby oživování jednotlivých tradic, aby se nevytratil jejich původní obsah a za tímto účelem poskytuje svoje specializované služby.
Navíc si klade za cíl nacházet účinné způsoby, jak překlenovat propast času, navazovat na konkrétní odkazy předků, nalézat v nich jejich hodnotový a kulturně historický obsah a vdechovat původním tradicím nový život zajímavým, osvěžujícím, a přitom co nejméně zkreslujícím způsobem.
Dále si Institut klade za cíl podílet se na vzniku nových místních i celospolečensky přínosných tradic a vytvářet podmínky pro jejich uchycení ve společnosti se zřetelem na jejich dlouhodobý rozvoj, a to především formami umělecké a odborné prezentace a vývojem technologií a potřebných edukačních metodik nezbytných pro jejich efektivní uplatnění.
Ke všem zpracovávaným kulturně-historických tématům na něž jednotlivé tradice odkazují, přistupuje Institut zároveň jako k vědnímu oboru, k sociálnímu a kulturnímu fenoménu a jako k živé tradici.
Za tímto účelem realizuje Institut odborný výzkum kulturně-historického dědictví, podporuje jeho uchování a další rozvoj nebo vznik nových společensky prospěšných tradic, přičemž tak činí přímou či nepřímou formou, a to především skrze organizování odborných konferencí a seminářů, sběrem informací a tvorbou analýz a publikací souvisejících s touto tematikou, a dále skrze vytváření znalostních zdrojů, metodik, expertních služeb a technologií a vzorových konceptů souvisejících s touto tematikou a potřebných pro její rozvoj, jakožto i vytvářením potřebných odborných a sociálních vazeb, komunikační a informačních kanálů a realizací či zprostředkováním služeb nezbytných pro úspěšné dosažení deklarovaných cílů Institutu.
Aby tradice, kterým Institut věnuje svoji pozornost, měly dlouhodobou perspektivu, soustředí se Institut i na dlouhodobá řešení, vytváření encyklopedických zdrojů a systémů vzdělávaní v relevantních tematických okruzích a finanční a hmotné zajištění svého chodu.

Aby tradice, kterým Institut věnuje svoji pozornost, měly dlouhodobou perspektivu, soustředí se Institut i na dlouhodobá řešení, vytváření encyklopedických zdrojů a systémů vzdělávaní v relevantních tematických okruzích a finanční a hmotné zajištění svého chodu.
The Institute for Renaissance of Cultural Heritage (hereinafter referred to as the
Institute)
focuses on
spreading and development of traditions and historical topics which form part of the
universal
cultural
heritage. The Institute thus aims to prevent the decline of these traditions stemming from
the
accelerated lifestyle of the modern society which is increasingly dependent on technology
and
characterized with short-lived and therefore underdeveloped social relations. The institute
recognizes
that ancient traditions are bearers and representatives of values which have been
significant
enough for
our ancestors to pass them on for centuries. In their essence, traditions are part of the
identity of
every society which they help constitute and unite. They are also dependent on their
interpretation.
With lacking real interest from the society, they are prone to quickly disappear from the
society’s
collective memory.
The Institute searches for effective ways of reviving traditions while preserving their original content. To that end, it provides its specialized services. Likewise, the Institute aims to find effective ways to bridge the gulf of time; to continue the legacy of ancestors; to uncover its cultural-historical content and values; and to bring traditions to their new life in an interesting, reinvigorating, but not distorting manner. The Institute also aims to take part in conceiving new traditions, local as well as benefiting society as a whole, and to create conditions for their establishment in society, having in mind their long-term development, employing diverse forms of artistic and expert presentation as well as developing technology and education methodology indispensable for effective assertion of the traditions.
The Institute treats all cultural-historical topics, which the traditions relate to, as scientific study matter, social and cultural phenomena and objects of living tradition. In view of this, the Institute conducts expert research of cultural-historical heritage and supports its preservation and further development as well as creation of new traditions. It does so directly or indirectly, especially by way of organizing expert conferences and seminars; gathering information, creating analyses and publications covering the topics; creating knowledge bases, methodologies, expert services, technology, sample concepts linked with the topics and necessary for their development; as well as creating necessary expert and social liaisons, communication and information channels and providing or brokering services essential for successful fulfilment of the declared objectives of the Institute.
To ensure long-term continuation of traditions under its attention, the Institute concentrates on long-term solutions, creating encyclopaedical data and educational systems in relevant topic areas, as well as financial and material assuring of its operations.
